Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum or Isolate: What Is the Difference?

Full spectrum, broad spectrum, isolate: these three terms appear everywhere on CBD products, without always being explained. They simply describe what the product contains. Here is a clear guide to understanding the difference and making an informed choice.

01

What Are We Talking About?

These terms describe the composition of a CBD product, meaning what it contains. Full spectrum retains all the natural compounds of the hemp plant. Broad spectrum retains most of them but without THC. Isolate contains only pure CBD.

None of these profiles is objectively better: it comes down to personal preference and what you are looking for.

02

Full Spectrum: The Complete Profile

Full spectrum retains all the natural compounds of the plant: the various cannabinoids (including a low THC content below 0.3%), along with the terpenes responsible for the aromas.

Our CBD flowers and resins are naturally full spectrum: they preserve the complete aromatic profile of the variety.

03

Broad Spectrum: Without THC

Broad spectrum is similar to full spectrum, but with the THC removed (or reduced to trace levels). A portion of the cannabinoids and terpenes is retained, without THC.

This is the profile chosen by those who prefer to avoid any THC, even at the low legal level.

04

Isolate: Pure CBD

Isolate is CBD separated from all other compounds: no THC, no other cannabinoids, no terpenes. It is a neutral profile, with no plant aroma.

It is mostly found in products where CBD alone is required, without the rest of the plant.

05

Which One to Choose?

If you enjoy the complete profile and the natural aromas of the plant, full spectrum is the richest option: that is what you will find in our flowers and resins. If you want to avoid all THC, broad spectrum is the right choice. If you are looking for neutral, isolated CBD, isolate fits the bill.

The decision mainly depends on your aromatic preferences and your relationship with THC (always below 0.3% in our products).

06

Legality (THC Below 0.3%)

All our products contain less than 0.3% THC, in compliance with regulations, whether they are full spectrum or not.

Products are reserved for adults.

Questions fréquentes

What is the difference between full spectrum and broad spectrum?

Full spectrum retains all the natural compounds of hemp, including a low THC content (below 0.3%). Broad spectrum retains most of them but without THC. The main difference is therefore the presence or absence of THC.

What is CBD isolate?

It is pure CBD, isolated from all other compounds of the plant: no THC, no other cannabinoids, no terpenes. It is a neutral profile with no plant aroma.

Does full spectrum contain THC?

Yes, but in a very small amount, below 0.3%, in compliance with regulations. It is this legal level that distinguishes full spectrum from broad spectrum, which contains no THC.

Broad spectrum or full spectrum: which one to choose?

It is a matter of preference. Full spectrum keeps the complete, aromatic profile of the plant; broad spectrum offers a broad profile but without THC. Neither is objectively better.

Are your CBD flowers full spectrum?

Yes. Our CBD flowers and resins are naturally full spectrum: they retain all the compounds and natural aromas of the variety, with THC below 0.3%.
